How we are paid
We typically charge a fee for mortgage advice. The exact amount depends on your circumstances; our typical fee is £499, payable on application. We will also usually receive a procuration fee from the lender.
- Lender procuration fee: typically 0.35%–0.45% of the loan amount, paid by the lender on completion. This never changes our recommendation.
- Client fee: disclosed in writing before you apply, and confirmed in your Initial Disclosure Document.
Consumer Duty
We are required to act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers. In practice that means fair value on every recommendation, communications you can genuinely understand, products matched to your needs and objectives, and extra support where you may be in vulnerable circumstances.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, contact us at hello@apexmortgages.co.uk. If we cannot resolve your complaint within eight weeks you may refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, free of charge. We are also covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
